Kathy A Miller

Kathy A. Miller (nee Back), 67, of Lorain, passed away at her home on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Born on November 8, 1956, in Amherst, OH, Kathy spent her early years in Lorain and recently returned after living in Vermilion for many years. She dedicated her career to social work for the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), where she made a meaningful impact on the lives of many.

A member of Grace United Methodist Church in Vermilion, Kathy found joy in simple pleasures, including reading, solving crossword puzzles, and crocheting.  She immensely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her son Doug Miller (Jen) of Jackson, OH; daughters Sherry Francis (Chris) of Vermilion and Shawn Elliott (Tommy) of Amherst; grandchildren Korbin, BriAnna, Alivia, Kollin, Brennan, and Addisyn; great-grandchildren Bentlee, Emmarie, Amelia, Beau, Lincoln, Elowyn, Zane, Sky, and Myles; and her sister Betty Elbert of Vermilion.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Mary Louise (nee Smith) Back, and her sister, Irma Shuck.

Private family services will be held to honor her memory.
