Kay Ann Sommers

Kay Ann Sommers (nee Fleming), 92, of Collins, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026, at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born August 18, 1934, and had been a Vermilion resident for more than 40 years before recently moving to Collins.

Kay worked in restaurant management for many years. She was a hardworking woman who appreciated life's simple pleasures. Above all, Kay cherished her family and treasured the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her sons, Harold (Julieann) Sommers and Mark (Melinda) Sommers; grandchildren, Brent, Kyle, Shawna, Kenneth, and Kimberly; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Fleming; parents, Ronald H. Sr. and Lela Naomi (nee Cutlip) Fleming, and brother, Roland Fleming Jr.

Honoring Kay's wishes, no public services will be held.
