Keith F. Pavlich, Sr., 66, of Vermilion, died Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. Keith was born October 30, 1950 in Lorain and had been a life long area resident. He was a veteran of the US Navy (SAR) serving from 1969-1973 during Vietnam. Keith worked for US Steel as a crane Operator. He was a member of the Iron Coffins and enjoyed building, working on, and riding, motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Georgia (nee Pease) Pavlich of Vermilion; daughter, Michelle "Missy" (Joe) Pavlich-Sheets, grandchildren: Keith Russell and Sean Pavlich and Alex, Angie, Joey, and Arika Sheets; great grandson, Henry Whidby; and his sisters, Kathy Ferenec and Karin Kissel both of Lorain. He was preceded in death by his son Keith Pavlich II in 2016 and his parents, Frank and Violet (nee Miller) Pavlich. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017 from 4-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 3, 2017 at 10 am at the funeral home. The Vermilion Veterans Council will present Military Honors prior to the service. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. The family suggests memorial contributions to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
