Kenneth A. Barnett, 74, of Huron, died Monday, December 14, 2020 at Firelands Regional Medical Center Main Campus after a brief illness with COVID. He was born August 10, 1946 in Memphis, TN and had been a life long Vermilion area resident. He served in the Navy from 1963-1967 during Vietnam. Kenneth worked as a quality control supervisor for Ford Motor Co., Lorain for 30 years retiring in 2004. He was a life member of Amvets Post #22 and the V.F.W. Post #7576 where he served as Quarter Master. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #12 and enjoyed golfing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darlene "Dolly" Barnett (née Reiber); daughters, Annette Carr Wargo of Louisville, KY, Kymberly Barnett of Louisville, KY, Paige (Rick) Whitten of Brentwood, CA, and Jaime (Jared) Chonko of Vermilion; grandchildren, Stephanie, Samantha, Olivia, Ryan, Corissa, Markym, Dalton, Isaac and Brody; sisters, Karen (Tom) Trippett of Vermilion and Janice Lynn (Terry) Williams-Millican of MS; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Christal Barnett; mother, Bobbie Williams (nee McMorris); and his brother, Gary Barnett. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
