Kenneth Kyle Haynie

Kenneth Kyle Haynie Sr., 81, of Vermilion, died Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his home after a brief illness with cancer. He was born May 8, 1937 in Waterford, Mississippi and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 60 years moving from Mississippi. Kenneth was a veteran of the US Army. He worked for Ford Motor Co., Lorain for 31 years, retiring in 1999. He had attended the First Baptist Church, Vermilion and was a member of AMVETS Post #22, American Legion Post #397, and the UAW #425. Kenneth enjoyed watching sports, golfing at the Vermilion Country Club, and like his "sarsaparilla's". He is survived by his daughters, Liz (Russ) Mayer of Vermilion, Johanna Dockham of GA; Sonja Haynie of LA, and Donna Christa Haynie of Vermilion; son, Ken (Beth) Haynie, Jr. of TN; 16 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Haynie of MS; sister, Oreane Ward of MS; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Haynie in 2007; parents, Cecil E. and Mary J. (nee Oaks) Haynie; granddaughter, Savanah Nichole Haynie; brother, John Cecil Haynie; and his sisters, Aliane Riley, Marjorie Wright, Lazell Marshell, and Doris Wright. A veterans service will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 12:30 pm at AMVETS Post #22, 1517 State Rd, Vermilion, OH 44089.
