Kenneth Albert Hunt,77, of Vermilion, died suddenly Friday, September 2, 2011. Kenneth was born in Lorain and had lived in Lorain, Arizona and Vermilion. . He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving on the U.S.S. Remey during the Korean Conflict. Kenneth was a construction worker for several companies including Stevens Painton Construction. He worked part time doing maintenance for the Lucy Idol Center in Vermilion. He was a member of the VFW Post 7576, Vermilion and enjoyed hunting, fishing, tractor pulls, travel and visiting with friends. He is survived by his brothers, Edmund Hunt, James (Fran) Hunt and Thomas (Lana) Hunt all of Vermilion; sisters, Shirley Jansen, Apache Junction, Arizona and Beverly (John) Tims-Horvath, Villa-Rica, Georgia and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Albert and Kathryn (nee Allison) Hunt. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 6-9 p.m.at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. The Reverend Dr. Marvin Osborn will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
