Kenneth Mcdaniel

Kenneth L. McDaniel Sr., 87 of Homestead, FL, died Wednesday, January 5, 2005 in Hialeah, FL after a short illness. He was born September 12, 1917 in Mt. Blanchard, OH and had lived in Vermilion and Bells, TN before moving to Homestead, FL. Mr. McDaniel was a Sergeant for the Vermilion Police Department for 25 years, retiring in 1979. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking. Survivors include his wife, Katherine McDaniel (nee Dewhirst), 2 sons: Kenneth L. McDaniel Jr. of Vermilion, and Kerry L. McDaniel of Homestead, FL; 2 daughters, Kathleen Hewitt of Homestead, FL, and Terri Snodgrass of Berlin Hts.; 1 Step-Daughter, Cindy Johnson of Jackson, TN, 6 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents, Auber and Lilly Mae (nee Dewhirst) McDaniel, and 1 brother: Joseph McDaniel. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
