Kenneth J. ''Ken"' Miltner

Kenneth "Ken" J. Miltner, 68, of Amherst, passed suddenly Friday, December 11, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1952 in Cleveland and had been a Amherst resident for the past 29 years moving from Avon Lake. Ken owned and operated Cumberland Plumbing Co. where he worked as a master plumbing contractor for 25 years. He had also worked as the master plumbing consultant for Home Depot, Lorain for 12 years. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Ken enjoyed fly fishing, hiking, gardening, music, and he was an avid reader. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cheryl (nee Brausch) Miltner; sons, Ryan (Jennifer) Miltner of New Knoxville and Nicholas (Cynthia "Cindy") Miltner of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Laurel Mackenzie (Brock Casper) Miltner of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Jessica, Logan, Colin and Maeve; brothers, Richard (Linda) Miltner of Blue Ash and Robert (Molly) Miltner of Jackson Twp.; and his honorary brother, Tim Shuckerow of Cleveland Heights. He was preceded in death by parents, Eugene C. and Genevieve "Jeanne" (nee Higgins) Miltner. Private family services will be held at Riddle Funeral Home. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to  Doctors Without Borders  , the Arthritis Foundation  ,  American Cancer Society  , or the  National Parks Foundation  .
