Kenneth W. Tucker, 82, of Vermilion, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital - Cleveland Fairhill after a prolonged illness.
Born on November 14, 1941, in Elyria, OH, Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Vermilion.
Kenneth dedicated 32 years to Ford Motor Co. in Lorain, retiring in 1992 as a booth cleaner.
He was a member of Vermilion Evangelical and Reformed Church. Kenneth enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including archery, fishing, hunting, playing BINGO, woodworking, and small carving. He took great pride in having built his own house. His friendships were very important to him, particularly his breakfast group that gathered at McDonald's.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lynn (nee Fischer) Tucker, sons, Scott Tucker and Jeffrey (Cathy) Tucker; grandchildren, Kendall (Luke) Millman, Kelsie (Matt) Ogden, and Jessica (Jacob) Peters,his great grandson, Carson Peters and one on the way; his brother, Ron (Peggy) Tucker, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy and Don Fischer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth A. and Gertrude (nee Patton) Tucker.
Friends are invited to join the family on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life service at 6:00 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
