Kimberly "Gracie" Dawn Sowders

Kimberly Dawn "Gracie" Sowders (nee Hatten), 61 years of age and a resident of Amherst, died Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness.

She was born May 3, 1961 in Huntington, West Virginia. Kim attended Firelands High School and resided in the Amherst and Vermilion area where she made many life long friends. Kim loved her family, friends, and her grandchildren. Kim was a free spirit and truly lived her life.

Survivors include her children, Pamela D. King (Justin) of Atlanta, Georgia, David Alan Sowders Jr. of Amherst; her brothers, Harry J. Hatten (Melissa) of Vermilion and Randal P. Hatten (Franki) of Findlay; her grandchildren, Ava Grace King, Joseph C. King, and Alivia L. King; nieces and nephews, Ashley Reid (Jim) Hannah L. Hatten, Hunter HJ Hatten, Heston P Hatten, Jimmi M. Hatten, and Etta L. Hatten; and several family members and special friends who she loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Alan Sowders in 1990; her parents Jimmy Lee Hatten and Edna Pauline Hatten (nee Lykins).

Private family services will be held with inurnment at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
