Lance Douglas Teaman, 65, of Sheffield Lake died Monday, June 24, 2013 at his home after a lengthy illness. Lance was born on March 13, 1948 in Lorain and had been a Sheffield Lake resident the last 3 years moving from Findlay, Ohio. He owned his own architectural firm and had also been the associate architect for Bowling Green State University from 1986-1996. He was an accomplished trombone player, and played in the Ohio University Marching Band for 5 years. Lance loved Cleveland sports, WWII history, music, and enjoyed model airplanes. He is survived by his son, Matthew Teaman of Chicago; daughter, Jess (Sarah) Rainey, of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Sophia and Alice, and sister, Holly (William) McMillen, Elyria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mildred (nee Leatherman) Teaman. The family suggests memorial contributions to Lorain County Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44870 . Services are private.
