Larry Dale Morris

Larry Dale Morris, 55, of Lorain, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his home after a sudden illness. Larry was born May 30, 1958 in Clay County, WV. He had been a Lorain resident for the past 25 years, moving from Amherst. Larry worked for Chris's Restaurant as a cook since 1981. He was a member of Everspring Baptist Church in South Amherst. He was also a member of the NRA. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, telling jokes, and playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Debbie (nee Crabtree) Morris of Lorain; sons, Brian (Angela) Morris, Brad Morris and his fiancée, Kara Varner both of Lorain; daughter, Brandalyn (Paul) Lee of Lizemores, WV, grandchildren, Hailey, Amy, Michael, Anna, Alana, Clark; parents, Ivan and Aylene Johnston; brothers, Nathan, Sonny, Tim and Scott ; sister, Beverly and many other children and grandchildren he helped raise. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Monnie Morris and brothers Jimmy and Dennis. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 4-8 p.m.at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 12 noon at the Riddle Funeral Home. The Reverend Howard Crabtree will officiate. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst.
