Lawrence G. Casey

Lawrence G. Casey, 83, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born October 1, 1927 in Chicago, IL, he had been a Vermilion resident for the past 4 years moving from Avon Lake. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII and the Pacific Occupation. Lawrence graduated from the New England School of Art and then became a design engineer. He worked as a hydraulics engineer and retired from Parker Hannifin. He enjoyed boating and reading. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Rita) Casey of Elyria and Brian Casey of Lake Forest, CA; and a brother, Thomas Casey of Buffalo, WY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (nee Pieczynske) Casey in 1986, grandchild, Greg Casey and his parents. Private services will be held.
