Lawrence R. Feldkamp “Larry”, 81, formerly of Vermilion, died on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Northwest Ohio Hospice in Toledo after a brief illness. He was born July 16, 1941 in Lorain, Ohio to Margaret Feldkamp (nee Kramer) and George Feldkamp and was the baby of ten. He had been a Vermilion resident for 47 years, prior to moving to Perrysburg in 2019. Larry graduated from Lorain High and became a union electrician with the local IBEW 129 out of Lorain, Ohio. Larry was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Vermilion where he was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was quite the softball player in his day and was known for hitting the ball out of the park on a regular basis. He loved his Ohio sports teams and enjoyed watching and "yelling" at them through the television set or in person when he had the chance. He took even more enjoyment from watching his kids and grandchildren take part in their sports and activities. He enjoyed bowling, boating and fishing on Lake Erie, playing cards with friends, volunteering with the Knights of Columbus and at the soup kitchen.
