Lena J. Divirgilio

Lena J. DiVirgilio (nee Contini), 82, of Lorain, died Monday, July 5, 2010 in St. John Medical Center after a short illness. She was born May 30, 1928 in Monongahela, PA and has been a Lorain resident for the past 67 years moving from Library, PA. Lena enjoyed tending to her yard and flowers. She also enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, and shopping for dresses, high heels, and hats. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra DiVirgilio of Boynton Beach, FL; son, Frederick John DiVirgilio of Lorain; grandchildren, Danielle DiVirgilio and Randy DiVirgilio; 6 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Zmrzel of Bullhead City, AZ and Dolores Perchinsky of Lorain. Preceding her in death were her husband Frederick Raymond DiVirgilio in May 2010, parents, John and Margaret (nee Vaira) Contini; son, Randy Frederick DiVirgilio in Feb. 2009, brothers Vincent and Robert Contini; and sisters, Laura Contini and Margaret Anderson. Friends may call Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 5-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Services will be held at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10:30 am with Rev. Charles Henkle officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
