Leonarda 'Lee' Ochenkowski

Leonarda "Lee" Ochenkowski (nee Solowiej ), 72 , of Lorain, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at her residence of natural causes.. 　 She was born February 10, 1943 in Poland and moved to Lorain in 1961. Lee retired from the Y.M.C.A. after 25 years of service. 　 Lee was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Lorain. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. 　 She is survived by daughters Donna ( Don) Snyder of Westlake, and Mary (Jeff) Coleman of Olmsted Falls; son Richard Ochenkowski of Lorain; grandchildren Elizabeth, Karsyn, Jack, Bradley, and Anna; sister Teresa Orynchak, and sister-in-law Bernice Solowiej both of Lorain. 　 She was preceded in death by her husband Marian Ochenkowski in 1994, parents Frank and Salomeja ( Lukasziewicz ) Solowiej, sister Helen Yakowec, and brother Stanley Solowiej. 　 The family will receive friends Sunday, February 22nd from 2-6 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home & Cremation Center 1939 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Prayers will begin at the funeral home Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church 418 W. 15th St., Lorain.
