Lewis E. Eakin

Lewis Earl Eakin, 65, of Vermilion, died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness. He was born October 2, 1951 in Oil City, PA, and had been a Riverview, FL resident for the past 10 years moving from the Vermilion area. Lewis worked for Ridge Tool, Elyria for 26 years in the Heat Treatment Department . He enjoyed jewelry making and especially enjoyed canoeing and spending time with friends. He is survived by his daughters, Arwen (Tommy) Decker of Berlin Heights and Laurelin Eakin of Lorain; son, Hollin Eakin of Coventry, RI; grandchildren: Nigel, Miles, Colton Eakin, and Dakota Justice; brother, James Eakin of PA; sister, Donna Morgan of Euclid; and his former wife, Sandra Eakin of Vermilion. He was preceded in death by his parents,Charles and Rita (nee McClelland) Eakin and his grandson, Wyatt Decker. Family services will be held in Pennsylvania.
