Lillian T. Gibson (nee Kapron), 92 of Lorain, died on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Kingston of Vermilion following a brief illness. She was born on January 8, 1917 in Buffalo, New York. She was raised in Lorain, then later moved to Weslaco, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona. She was employed as a punch press operator at General Motors in Elyria for 16 years, retiring in 1964. Lillian was a member Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and St. Peter Catholic Church, both in Lorain. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded-in-death by her first husband, James Gibson, second husband, Willard Gibson, parents, George and Agnes (nee Kaminski) Kapron and brothers, Carl, Teddy, Stanley, Walter, Joseph and John. Friends may call on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from 9:00 am until time of closing prayers at 10:30 am at Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain. Reverend Robert J. Glepko, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
