Lillian May Showman

Lillian May Showman (nee Hillen), 76, of Wakeman, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at EMH Regional Health Center after a 6 month illness. Lillian was born June 1, 1934 in Indian Head, PA and has been a Wakeman area resident for the past 60 years. Lillian had worked at Kathy's Kitchen, Vermilion, Green Circle Growers and Welch's Fruit Farm. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, the outdoors, family gatherings and pets. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Earl Showman; daughters, Cynthia (Wayne) Myers of Oberlin, Deborah (John) Fisher, Amherst, Beatrice Knott, Wakeman and Connie Stanley, Cleveland; sons, Kenneth Showman, Conway SC, Walter Showman, Wakeman, Donald Showman, Vermilion and Jeffrey (Denise) Showman, Berlin Heights; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Hensel, Indian Head, PA and brother, Roy (Judy) Babb, Anderson, IN. She was preceded in death by son, Charles Showman; sister, Gertrude Donaldson; brother, Samuel Hillen and parents Howard and Rose (nee Fosbrink) Hillen. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 2 to 4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Friday, May 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Reverend Richard Kretchmar will officiate. Interment will follow at Cable Cemetery, Florence Township.
