Lily Isabel Izquierdo- Flores, 33, of Vermilion, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born March 12, 1981 in Los Choapas, Veracruz Mexico and had been a Vermilion resident for the past two weeks moving from Lexington, KY. Lily had just started working at Kingston of Vermilion as a dietary consultant. She was a member of Kingsland First United Methodist Church, Kingsland GA; Immanuel Baptist Church, Lexington, KY; and had just started attending Harbourtown Community Church in Vermilion. She enjoyed cooking, decorating, and had a passion for dancing. She loved being around people, but most of all she loved being a mother to her three sons. She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Eli Gridley of Lexington, KY; sons, Frank Ortiz, Elijah Gridley, and Levi Gridley all at home; parents, Miguel A Izquierdo Villaverde, and Yolanda Flores Hernandez; sisters, Nurya Xiorama Izquierdo-Flores and Grecia Danaee Izquierdo-Flores and a brother, Miguel Angel Izquierdo-Flores. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Gridley Children's Foundation, 277 White Oak Trace, Lexington, KY 40511.
