Linda D. Hoff (nee McMillin), 70, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at her home after a lengthy illness. Linda was born August 19, 1946 in Burnt Cabins, PA and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 39 years moving from Lorain. Linda had worked in the cafeteria at Vermilion High School for 7 years, she had also worked as a waitress at the Golden Dragon Restaurant, Lorain. Linda worked at Ohio Extended Care, Lorain as a state tested nurses aide and had worked at Community Hospital as a patient care aide. Linda was the Girl Scout Service Unit Director and Day Camp Director for 6 years. She started the Mini Brownie Troop in Vermilion. She enjoyed camping, family get together's, cooking, and Sunday dinners. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Hoff; daughter, Jamie (Bill) Fuqua of Ada, OH and Kris (Steve) Pritchett of Dry Ridge, KY; son, Joe (Laurie) Whatmore of Grafton; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (David) Hardy of Rochester, NY and Judy Green of Lorain; and her brother, Dr. Robert (Becky) McMillin of Greenwich. She was preceded in death by her parents, Durward & Fannie (nee Mentzer) McMillin; son, Michael Hoff and her brother, William McMillin. Private family services were held.
