Linda J. Holmes

Linda J. Holmes (nee Harvey), 60, of Wakeman, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 in MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland as a result of a fall. She was born April 19, 1949, raised in Lexington, KY and has been a Lorain and Wakeman resident for the past 39 years. Linda worked as an Registered Nurse for Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain on the 3 West Tower, on the Medical Surgical Floor for many years. She had a strong faith in God, and was a member of Firelands Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, walking her dog, nature, wildlife, caring for others, being with friends and family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter and son-in law, Dawn and Michael Crough of Chattanooga, TN; 3 grandsons: Alex, Jaden, and Sean, 4 step-daughters: Cindy A. Simpson of Vermilion, Dorothy A. Holmes of Southaven, MS, Tracy Holmes of Huston, TX and Rachelle Holmes of Cleveland; 4 step-sons Jerry Dean Holmes of Southaven, MS, Vincent H. Holmes of Vermilion Township, OH, Joshua B. Holmes of Medina, Justin L. Holmes of South Bend, IN, and 11 step-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband Garold Holmes in 2006, parents, Alton B. and Dorothy (nee Perkins) Rogers, and a son, Philip Harvey. Friends may call Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion. Services will be held Saturday, Oct 24, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Riddle Funeral Home.
