Linda Mary Rampersaud, 40, formerly of Vermilion, passed away July 14, 2018 in Chandler, AZ after getting Valley Fever. She was born on March 7, 1978 in Lorain, She was raised in Vermilion and had lived in Chandler, AZ for the past 18 years. She graduated from Vermilion High School, class of 1996. Linda received her Bachelors Degree in Forensic Psychology and earned her Masters in Criminal Justice and Forensic Psychology. She had been working as a Probation Officer Supervisor for Maricopa County Adult Probation, Phoenix, AZ for the past 17 years. She had a passion for helping people and was also a strong advocate for domestic abuse victims as part of her occupation. She earned many credentials including a Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Service on behalf of crime victims. Linda was feisty, stubborn, and very driven in her daily life, and brought that energy with her to others. She was a very loving person with a strong heart and intoxicating smile and laugh that would brighten up a room. She enjoyed participating in the yearly "Walk to End Domestic Violence" and the Humane Society "Walk to Save the Animals″, spending time with her family and dogs, traveling to see new places, researching true crime and serial killers, celebrating Halloween with extravagant decorations, and spending time with her friends. She was passionate about Animal rights, the criminal justice field, Ohio State Games, and her Indian culture. She is survived by her Papa, Charles Rampersaud of St. Petersburg, FL; mama, Linda (nee McGrath) Rampersaud of Vermilion; sisters, Chandra Rampersaud of Vermilion and Christina (Shawn) Muckleroy of Avon; brother, Charles Rampersaud of Castro Valley, CA; her nieces Kayla (Matt) Sokolow of Amherst, and Sienna Rampersaud of Castro Valley; a nephew, Luke Rampersaud of Castro Valley, CA, and her furry dog children, Jenson, Bella, and Lilly. She was preceded in death by her furry pet children - Brutus, Caesar, Izzy, and Ozzy. The family will be hosting a casual celebration of life gathering at Sherod Park in Vermilion, OH on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 4-6pm.
