Lois M Baumhart (nee Parker), 93, of Lorain, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain after a lengthy illness. Lois was born September 21, 1918 in Lorain. She had been life long area resident. Lois worked as a receptionist for the former Rudy Moc Studio in Lorain for 25 years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, now Lighthouse United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer at Lorain Community Hospital since 1971. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Nathan Perry Chapter; a member of the First Families of Ohio, the Society of Civil War Families, a member of the Ohio Historical Society and the Ohio Genealogical Society. She is survived by her nephew, Robert M. (Ellen) Parker of Vermilion; several great nieces and nephews,and great great nieces and nephews; a step son, A. David (Julia) Baumhart III of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and step grandson, Peter Baumhart of Bloomfield Hills, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Congressman A. David Baumhart II on January 23, 2001 and parents, Clyde L. and Eva M. (nee Wagner) Parker. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11 am at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South Street, Vermilion with Reverend Greg Sellers, pastor of the Lighthouse United Methodist Church, officiating and the Daughters of the American Revolution will be conducting Rites. Private interment was held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
