Lois Ann Zwald (nee Kuhn),79, of Vermilion, died July 5, 2015 at Kingston of Vermilion after a 50 year battle with Myasthenia Gravis. She was born April 27, 1936 in Lorain and had been a Vermilion resident since 2005 moving from Florida. Lois had been a self employed realtor for many years in Chicago IL and FL. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion and Sacred Hearts Church, Punta Gorda, FL. Lois enjoyed tutoring for the Adult Learning Program in Port Charlotte, FL. She was also a member and volunteer at the IAV, Elks Lodge # 2606, Moose Lodge #110, and Eagles Club all in Punta Gorda, FL. She also enjoyed spending her free time with friends and listening to music. She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Zwald Higgins of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Maggie and Tommy Higgins, of Sarasota, FL; sister and "other half", Dolores (George) Phillips of Vermilion; niece, Stephanie Lukovics; nephew, Chris Luke, his wife, Sara. their children, Megan, Michael, and Miles; Goddaughter, Diane Russell of Lorain and many favorite cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis S. and Margaret (nee Miller) Kuhn and sister, Marcie Volpe. There will be a private Memorial Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. The family would like to thank Kingston of Vermilion, 4210 Telegraph Lane, Vermilion, Ohio 44089 and Mill Manor, 983 Exchange St., Vermilion, Ohio for the excellent care they provided.
