Loretta Arline Bratton

Loretta Arline Bratton, 86, formerly of Vermilion, died Monday, April 26, 2010 in Wesleyan Village, Elyria after a short illness. She was born October 5, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio and has been a Vermilion resident since 1989 moving from Seven Hills. Loretta was a K-2 nd Primary School Teacher for the Parma Schools. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, square dancing, and had attended Elderhostels for over 30 years. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Harry Harvey Bratton of Vermilion; sons, Raymond (Judy) Bratton of Santee, CA and Donald (Joy) Bratton of Lorain; daughter, Colletta (Bill) Lieber of O'Fallon, Il; grandchildren;, Beth Edwards, Matthew Lieber, Steven and Andy Bratton, Sharon Cumberland and Curtis and Rachel Bratton; and sister, Alice Godwin of Sierra Vista, AZ. Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert and Florence (nee Foote) Pretzer; brother, Albert Pretzer; and sister, Elverda Keith. Friends may call Friday, April 30, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. Grace United Methodist Church, Coen and West Lake Road, Vermilion, Ohio 44089. The Reverend Joan Skelley-Watts, pastors, will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date at Brecksville Community Cemetery.
