Loretta Jean Jeancola

Loretta Jean Jeancola (nee Gabriel), 69 of Vermilion, died Sunday, January 16, 2005 at her home after a two year illness. She was born August 15, 1935 in Athens, Ohio. She has been a Vermilion resident for the past 6 years, moving from Lorain. She had been a dance instructor for Arthur Murry Dance Studio in the 1950's. She had worked for Ted Jacobs and Smith & Gerhart, Inc.Department Stores in Lorain. She had also been a receptionist for Dr. Ciprus's Dental office in Lorain. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion. She enjoyed cooking and loved animals. Survivors include 3 sisters; Jacqueline D. Fleming of Vermilion, Linda S. Brooks of Lorain, and Judy D. Slone of West Palm Beach, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Emil Jeancola on December 30, 2004; her parents, Floyd (2000) and Marjorie (1986) (nee Laird) Gabriel; and a half brother Charles O'Neal. Friends may call Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from 10:30 until the time of prayers at 12:30 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2005 , at 1:00 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St. Vermilion, OH. Reverend James Steinle will officiate Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
