Lorie M Fedor

Lorie M. Fedor (nee Snezek), 74, of Vermilion, died Monday, May 1, 2017 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a short illness. She was born November 12, 1942 in Lorain, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 46 years moving from Lorain. Lorie owned and operated Quality Catering of Vermilion for 17 years. She also worked at the Vermilion High School Cafeteria for 10 years amongst various other jobs. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion where she was a charter member of the St. Francis Society and sang with the Joyful Noise choir. She was the past president for the Vermilion Garden Club, Vermilion Band Boosters, and Choral Boosters. Lorie was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She started the baby hat ladies club, crocheting baby hats for newborns. She also enjoyed fishing and boating with her husband Bill. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Franczak of Amherst; son, Scott (Tracy) Fedor of Cypress, TX; grandchildren, Matthew Franczak, and Colin and Megan Fedor; great grandson, Lincoln; and her brothers, Paul Snezek of Wheaton, IL, David Snezek of Wellington, and Thomas Snezek of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her husband William F. Fedor in 2015 and her parents, Peter P. and Laura (nee Davis) Snezek. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 4 until the time of a rosary service at 7:45 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:00 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St., Vermilion. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
