Lottie '"Ottie"' Meade

Lottie "Ottie" Meade (nee Byrd), 65, of Vermilion, died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born April 15, 1953 in Oneida, TN and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 25 years. Ottie worked and retired as a nurse's aide for Mill Manor Nursing Home in Vermilion. She was a member of the Vermilion Church of Christ,  and she also had volunteered with the Easter Seals.  She enjoyed fishing, canning, traveling with her sisters and loved her dog, Daisy. She is survived by her husband, Noah  Meade of Vermilion; sons, Roman  Lundgren of Elyria and Twain  Lundgren of Columbus; grandchildren, Gracie, Michael, Victoria, Katelynne, Alexandra, and Emmalee Lundgren; siblings, Louise Giles of New Albany, OH, Carla Smith of Oneida, TN, Mary Pedmore of Columbus, OH, Neba June, and L.C. Byrd of Oneida, TN; step children; Janette Pyles, Greg Meade, Lena Newsome, Renee Romell, Tina Traster, Noah Meade Jr., and Matthew Meade; and 20 step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Esaw and Willie Wanda (nee Day) Byrd;  and her siblings,Theodore, Clifton, W.C., Allen, Fay and Ruth Sexton, J.D. and Betty Mae Byrd, and Elsie Hicks. The family will  receive friends on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.  Funeral services will be Monday June 4, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  The Reverend Linro Meade and Noah Meade, Jr.  will co-officiate.  Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
