Louise A. Jackson

Louise A. Jackson (nee Kukucka), 54, of Wakeman, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at Mercy Allen Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born October 30, 1963 in Elyria and had been a Wakeman resident for the past 50 years moving from Avon. Louise graduated from Firelands High School in 1982 and then received her undergraduate and masters degrees from Bowling Green State University. After graduation, she began working for the Sandusky City Schools as an elementary school teacher where she has been working for over 30 years. Louise also enjoyed working at Schoepfle Gardens tending to the flowers during the summers. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wakeman and a past member of the Western Reserve School Board. She had also been a member of Kapa Delta Pi and the National Honor Society. Louise enjoyed gardening, golfing, traveling to Amish Country, photography, attending her children's sporting events, and loved her cats, dogs, and all God's creatures. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Dale Jackson of Wakeman; son, William Jackson of Wakeman; daughter, Theresa Jackson of Wakeman; brother, Edward Kukucka of Wakeman; her sisters, Arlene Post of Norwalk and Karen (Glenn) Johnson of Lodi: and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clarabelle (nee Thome) Kukucka. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 46 E. Main Street, Wakeman, OH 44889. Father Kishore Kottana will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society of your choice or the Lorain County Metro Parks, 1800 W.
