Lucille A. Stepp-Hurst (nee King), 81, of Vermilion, died Monday, May 17, 2010 in Community Health Partners West after a lengthy illness. She was born June 13, 1928 in Pikeville, KY and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 8 years, moving from Warren, OH. She worked for Geauga Industries and retired from Packard Electric, Warren in 1990 after 20 years. She had also been a Registered Nurse in Pikeville, KY. Her family and her flower gardens were her true passions in life. She also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, bowling on the Packard Bowling League, and was an avid reader. Survivors include her daughters, Thelma (Alex) Chrjapin of Vermilion and Molly (Douglas) Wilhelm of Vermilion; granddaughter, Janelle "JJ" (Dave) Ream of Alliance; great grandchildren, Timothy Lee and Cameron Sophia; and brothers, Clinton King of Vermilion and Kelly King of Gladwin, MI. Preceding her in death were her husband, Kermit Stepp in 1980; parents, Ezra and Florence (nee Gross) King, and 2 brothers, Audie and Augustine King. Friends may call Friday, May 21, 2010 from 4-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Services will be held at the West Farmington United Methodist Church, 220 College Street, West Farmington, Ohio 44491, Saturday, May 22, 2010at 11 a.m. Pastor James A. George will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, West Farmington.
