Lurline Koba

Lurline J. Koba, age 89, of North Fairfield, formerly of Lorain, died Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. She was born on May 27, 1914 in Lorain and has been a lifelong resident. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and its Altar & Rosary Society. She was also a member of AARP, a 62 year member of a pinnochle card club, a tournament bowler and championship swimmer. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Dodson of North Fairfield; son, Thomas Koba of Berlin Heights; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer Kern of Sussex, Wisconson. Preceding her in death were her husband, Felix Koba, parents, Edwin and Minnie (nee Bastian) Kern and sister, Barbara Lee Cook. Friends may call on Sunday, November 30, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Volak-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday, December 1, 2003 at 9:30am followed by a 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain. Reverend Robert J. Glepko will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Lorain.
