Lydia F. Fichtel

Lydia F. Fichtel (nee Hauff), 99, formerly of Lakewood, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Lydia was born March 12, 1915 in Vermilion and had been a Lakewood resident for 60 years moving from Cleveland. She had lived in Vermilion for the past 5 years. She had worked for Delcom in telemarketing and also for Spiegel Catalog as an operator. She is survived by her nephews, Gene and William Fichtel both of Vermilion. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha (nee Hauff) Fichtel; brothers, Earnest, Earl, Henry, Fred, Carl and Kenneth Fichtel; and sister, Katharine Fichtel. Graveside services will take place Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at 12 noon at Peaks Cemetery, Berlin Township.
