Lynda M. Ulrich

Lynda M. Ulrich (nee Burton),71, of Vermilion, died July 26, 2012 at New Life Hospice after a fall at Mill Hollow Reservation, Vermilion. Lynda was born Nov. 16, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN. She had been a Vermilion resident 18 years and had lived in Oak Lawn, IL, and Bolingbrook, Il . Lynda worked most recently as the Executive Director of Main Street, Vermilion retiring in 2010. She was grant co-ordinator for the City of Vermilion and had been owner-operator of AnnaBellas Ice Cream Shop in Brunswick, OH. Lynda spent many years in the financial printing industry in Chicago, Cleveland and Columbus where she had been promoted to vice president of the company. She was an English and Social Studies middle school teacher. She was a graduate of Ball State University in Indiana. She was involved in the Bolingbrook Historical Society, a member of Vermilion Rotary, treasurer of the Vermilion Mini Bus, a member of many affiliated Main Street organizations, and loved reading, puzzles and her grandchildren.. She is survived by her daughters, Kristin (James ) Gilland of Bay Village, Karen (C.J.) Koller of Vermilion; son, Scott (Monique) Ulrich of Grafton; loving companion, George Carlson, Vermilion; grandchildren, Ben, C.J. Jr., Jarrod, Kyler, Cassidy, and Teagan; sister, Carol (Thomas) Schuman of Cincinnati, and a brother, Michael (Maggie ) Burton of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Frank (neeWilliams). The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion Ohio. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the United Church of Christ, 990 State Street, Vermilion, Ohio 44089. The Reverend Bob Richardson will officiate.
