Lynn E. Tallman

Lynn E. Tallman, 62, of Vermilion, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph after an eight month battle with cancer. He was born May 28, 1952 in Buckhannon, WV, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 60 years moving from Buckhannon. Lynn worked as a carpenter for 36 years retiring from the Carpenters Local 435, Cleveland in 2006. He was a member of Harbourtown Community Church, Vermilion. He was know for being a jack of all trades and enjoyed gardening, cooking, especially on the grill, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 43 1/2 years, Diana (nee Boatman) Tallman of Vermilion; daughters, Jeanna (Roger) Rice of Vermilion and Jaime (Simon) Prideaux of Amherst; grandchildren, Jessica, Hannah, Nathan, Jacob, Sophia, Veronica and Anna; brothers, Roger (Sue) Tallman of Monroeville, Gary (Nadyne) Tallman of Elyria, and Freddie L. Tallman of Vermilion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Edith "Evona" (nee Edgell) Tallman, brothers, Edgel Wayne and Wilson V. Tallman, Jr. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 3:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH.
