Mabel Louder

Mabel Jo Louder (nee Fouts), 54, of Sheffield Lake, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic Richard E Jacobs Health Center after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 13, 1969 in Whitesburg, KY and had been a Sheffield Lake resident for over 30 years.

Mabel was committed to helping others in her work, she had worked  as a STNA, LPN, and a RN. She was proud of her work with dementia patients at both St. Mary of the Woods and Our Lady of the Wayside Nursing Homes.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, thrifting, and caring for her dogs.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 32 years, Scott Louder, children, Luke (Daeun) Louder and Logen (Judah) Louder-Webster; siblings, Roger (Tammy) Fouts, Sallie (James) Casper, and Connie (Earl) Smith; mother in law, Sherrie Louder; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Fay Elam and sister, Lillie Thomas.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 12 Noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Judah Louder-Webster, her son in law, will officiate.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County, Inc. 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035.
