Mable Lucille Shullick (nee Blake), 81, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness. She was born February 22, 1934 in Gem, West Virginia and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 50 years moving from Lorain. Mable was part of a car racing family, so she enjoyed going to the races and watching NASCAR. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, George Shullick of Vermilion; sons, George (Kimberly) Shullick and Patrick (Kimberly) Shullick both of Vermilion; daughter, Debbie Eahle of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister ChiChi Blake of Florida; and brothers, Harold Gene Blake of Virginia and John Blake of CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Freda (nee Steele) Blake; son Tony Shullick in 2006; and brother, Homer Shullick. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6-8 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 am. at the funeral home. The Reverend Jim Smucker will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
