Madeline Buckholz (nee Spartano), 87, of Warren, OH, passed away October 5, 2017 at Trumball Memorial Hospital. Madeline was born at home in Lorain, OH on October 4, 1930 to Dominick and Bessie (nee Aquilino) Spartano. She attended Lorain High School and Lorain County Community College. In 1948, she married Edward R. Buckholz. After her retirement from Faroh's Candy Co. of 20 years and Angelica of 13 years, she and Edward resided at a lake cottage in Vermilion, OH for 20 years. She had a passion for mystery novels, enjoyed watching movies, working jig saw puzzles, and loved 60's and 70's rock and roll music. Madeline is survived by her daughter, Deborah (James) Nighswander of Warren, OH; son, James (Lori) Buckholz of Burnville, MN; step daughter, Patricia (John) Kernohan of Lorain, OH; sister, Joyce Truskot of Amherst, OH; brother, Thomas (Ruth) Spartano of Vermilion, OH; eight grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Buckholz; son, Randy E. Buckholz; daughter, Jean E. Kelsey; and her parents.
