Marcheta Ruth Zagorski (nee Kalkhoff), 80, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born August 28, 1935 in San Antonio, TX and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 51 years. Marcheta was a member of First Assembly of God, Vermilion. She enjoyed yard work, ceramics, and making and collecting porcelain dolls. She was very proud of her collection of Lee Middleton signed dolls. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda (Jon) Jonsson of Vermilion; sons, James W. Gilliam of Rowlett, TX, Benjamin Paul (Sharon) Zagorski of Avon, and Richard Paul (Natividad) Zagorski, Jr. of Wyandotte, MI; grandchildren: Vanessa, Ian, Brianna, and Savannah Gilliam, Paul and Amanda Zagorski, Richard Paul III, Wanda, and Christi Zagorski, and Katherine, Margaret, and Stefan Jonsson; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Moxie Zagorski; and sister, Sharon Kay Golden of TX and Suzanne Porter of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Paul Zagorski in 2008; parents, Clarence Benjamin and Ruth Estele (nee Massey) Kalkhoff; and sister, Gail Schnider. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 4:00- 8:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
