Marcia Schnabel

Marcia   Schnabel  (nee Kirkpatrick), 81, of Vermilion, died Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Kingston of Vermilion after a lengthy illness.

She was born February 23, 1942 in New London, OH and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 49 years moving from Amherst.

She graduated from Baldwin Wallace with a Bachelors in Fine Arts.

Marcia  worked for Harbourtown Mobile Home Park as a  manager for 15 years, she also was a piano teacher, a music teacher for Lorain City Schools and worked at the Vermilion YMCA.

She attended Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, music, and going to bible study. Her passion for music allowed her to sing in Carnegie Hall.

She is survived by her son, Kirk  Schnabel of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Anthony Kirkpatrick of AZ; and friend, Jody  Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Lois (nee Bursley) Kirkpatrick; and her  husband, Dennis "Phil" Schnabel.

Private services will be held.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio, 5510 Baumhart Road, Lorain OH 44053.
