Marcia Siebrecht (nee Woods), 66 of Vermilion, died Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Community Health Partners in Lorain following a lengthy illness. She was born February 10, 1940 in Pell City, Alabama and has been a Vermilion resident since 1964. She had also lived in North Ridgeville. She worked as a painter for ITT Indoor Lighting, as a laborer and painter for the Ford Motor Company in Lorain and as a housekeeper at the Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. She was also a longtime motor paper carrier for the Lorain Morning Journal. She enjoyed bowling at Lake Erie Lanes in Vermilion and Riverview Lanes in Huron. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, AMVETS Post # 22 Ladies Auxillary and a former member of the American Legion Post # 397 Auxillary. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Albert Siebrecht of Vermilion; daughters, Orvia "Dee" Shroyer of North Canton, Jennie Freeman of Lorain and Marcia Gibson of Vermilion; sons, Phillip Madow of Temecula, CA and Michael James of San Ramon, CA; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Joe James in 1990, a daughter, Vanda James in 1980 and her parents, William Harve and Gladys Mae (nee Edge) Woods. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 1, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with the Reverend Gary Ihasz, pastor of the Old Stone United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
