Margaret B. Krantz Bloker, (nee Boggis), 84, of Vermilion, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Sunset Lake Village Assisted Livein, Venice , FL of lung cancer. She was born March 15, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio and has divided her time between Vermilion, Ohio and Venice, Florida. A graduate of Denison University she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Peg was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening, was a past president of Vermilion College Club, a member of the Vermilion Boat Club, the Great Lakes Historical Society, the Venice Presbyterian Church and the Golf Club of Capri Isles. She had been a charter member of the Lorain YWCA and a former member of Plum Brook Country Club. A graduate of Denison University, she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Survivors include her husband, Donald J. Bloker; step children, Bruce and Renee and 3 step granddaughters; her sister, Helen B. Burdg, Cleveland, OH; niece, Patty; nephew, Henry; five grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William J. Krantz in 1983; and parents, Henry and Margaret (nee Criley) Boggis. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mason Road, Vermilion. Reverend Louis Bertoni will officiate. A reception celebrating her life will follow at the Vermilion Boat Club, 5416 Liberty Ave., Vermilion, Ohio. Please R.S.V.P. to Patty at 513-226-9608.
