Margaret Joan Cornelius

Margaret Joan Cornelius (nee Sutliff), 93, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at EMH Regional Health Center following an extended illness. Margaret was born December 26, 1922 in Lorain, OH. She graduated from Lorain High School, class of 1941. Margaret worked for Lorain Products as a Transformer Tester for 19 years before retiring in 1984. While a resident of the Wesleyan Village in Elyria, she enjoyed creating arts and crafts to brighten the rooms and hallways with holiday decorations. She was a longtime member of the Emmanuel Evangelical Church in Lorain. She is survived by son, Edward J. Pfeifer (Linda) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; step-son, Thomas Cornelius of Texas; grandchildren, Logan and Erin; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Edward C. Pfeifer; second husband, Norman Cornelius; and brother, Warren G. Sutliff. Interment will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.. The family suggests memorial contributions to the donor's choice.
