Margaret Ellen Rhodes

Margaret Ellen Rhodes (nee Hunnell), age 74, of Vermilion,  passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Mercy New Life Hospice after a prolonged illness.

Born on March 17, 1949, in Richlands, VA, Margaret had called Vermilion home for the last 65 years, having relocated from Detroit.

She had attended Harbourtown Community Foursquare Church and found joy in the art of quilting.

Margaret is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 57 years, Robert Rhodes of Vermilion; her son, Shane Rhodes of Vermilion; grandchildren Jace, Josh, Matthew, and Justin; great-grandchildren Weston, Karson, and Shay; sisters, Shella Johnson of Vermilion and Sandra "Kay" Slater of Lorain; and brother James Hunnell of Vermilion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth (nee Ollis) Hunnell, her daughter Melissa Lynn Stowers, and her sister Judy Bilby.
