Marianne Karbowniczek (nee Burger), 77 of Lorain, died Saturday, November 19, 2005 in Autumn Aegis Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born September 10, 1928 in Lorain and has been a life long Lorain resident. She had been employed by Crystal Clear Dry Cleaners, Lorain for many years. She had attended St. Josephs Church, Lorain. Was a member of the PLAV, PACC, and American Croatian Club, all in Lorain. She enjoyed watching softball games, playing bingo and cards.. Survivors include 3 sisters: Helen Niskey of Lorain, Martha Fore of Elyria, and Clara Caudill of Amherst and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband Frank Karbowniczek in 1988, parents, Antone and Clara (nee Schwarz) Burger, 3 sisters: Maria Bacardi, Anna Habeck, and Gertrude Rosso; and 3 brothers Anthony Burger, Alfred Burger, and John Buerger. Friends may call Monday November 21, 2005 from 10:00 -11:30 a.m at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave. Lorain, OH 44052 Graveside services will be held Monday November. 21, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
