Marie K. Ziemba (nee Cavallo), 81 of Lorain, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Community Health Partners in Lorain after a lengthy illness. She was born August 28, 1926 in Lorain where she has been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Lorain High School and worked as a waitress for Sutters Restaurant in Lorain and was also well know as the "Amazing Mazie", reading astrology on the local Lorain radio station and at different area events. She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Lorain. She enjoyed playing BINGO, roller skating, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her son, David Ziemba of Amherst; daughters, Stephanie Dudukovich of Lorain, and Catherine Szabo of Lorain; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry "Rocky" Cavallo of Lorain; and sisters, Joyce Kapron of Lorain and Gloria Lowe of Elyria. Preceding her in death were her husband, Stephen M. Ziemba in 1997, parents, Larry and Margaret (nee Gallo) Cavallo and brother, Frank Cavallo. Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007 from 4-8 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at 9:30 am followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 418 W. 15th St., Lorain. Rev. Robert Glepko, pastor, will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
