Marilyn J. Hawkins

Marilyn Hawkins, 74, of Vermilion, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 in Community Health Partners, Lorain in Ohio. She was born January 5, 1931 in Santa Monica, CA, had lived in Calpine, Indio, and Santa Maria, CA before moving to Vermilion, OH 2 months ago. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Soroptimist Club of California. She enjoyed cards, crafts, making greeting cards, playing games and traveling. Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Richard D. Hawkins; daughters, Leslye Beria of Athens, TN and Lori Adams of Vermilion, OH; stepsons, Mark Hawkins of Kansas City, MO and Craig Hawkins of Seattle, WA; a brother, Terry Laughlin of Los Angeles, CA ; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, Carleton and Marion Esther (nee Schleede) Laughlin. Friends may call Friday, Dec. 2, 2005 from 4 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Bert Beria, son-in-law, will officiate.
