Marilyn J. Rundle

Marilyn J. Rundle, 87, of Vermilion, died Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a 10 day illness. She was born August 31, 1932 in Boardman, OH.and had been a Vermilion resident for many years. Marilyn was a teacher in the Vermilion School system for 33 years and had degrees both in art and biology. She taught art after she retired at the Vermilion YMCA where she served on the board of directors. She also worked at summer camps. She was a member of the Vermilion Teachers Association, Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst and the Madeleine Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star #204. She also played the guitar, ukulele and mandolin. She loved art and created in all mediums. She enjoyed boating and would boat to various lighthouses to sketch them. She also enjoyed photography. She is survived by her cousin, H.E. McKendrick of FL and special friends, Bunny Forrider and Jim and Brenda Life. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nelle (nee White) Rundle. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 12:00 pm until the time of a funeral service at 2:00 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. The Reverend Vernon Giesbrecht will officiate. Private burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Youngstown.
