Marjorie M. Morgan (nee Krok), 86, of Vermilion, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Kingston of Vermilion after a brief illness.
She was born December 18, 1938, in Amherst, Ohio, and was a lifelong resident of Vermilion.
Marjorie was a dedicated scholar who graduated with honors and went on to earn her master’s degree in library science. She worked as a librarian at Lorain County Community College for five years, where she took great pride in helping others discover a love of learning.
A lifelong lover of the arts, Marjorie found joy in museums, history, literature, and especially music. Her passion for music began in high school, where she played the clarinet in the band and other ensembles. She cherished attending the opera and symphonies and was continually curious about the world, always eager to learn something new. She also enjoyed traveling, with a special fondness for trips out West. Above all, Marjorie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Thomas) Lane and Gail Morgan; sons, Keith Morgan and Lance Morgan; grandchildren, Bryan and Allison Lane, Shane Glynn, and Ginger Robson; three great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Meanor; and brother, Michael Krok.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodger Dotson Morgan; daughter, Kathleen Ann Morgan; and her parents, Walter and Margaret Krok.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. Pastor Jim Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
