Marjorie Agnes Switzer

Marjorie Agnes Switzer (née Fox), 94, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 12, 2025, following a brief illness.

Born July 17, 1931, in Wellington, Marjorie spent the last 20 years in Vermilion after living in Florida. A devoted homemaker, she had a nurturing spirit that extended to both her family and animals. Over the years, she welcomed everything from beloved pets-including a monkey-to countless plants and succulents that she cared for with love.

Marjorie enjoyed the simple joys of life: crocheting, traveling in her RV, and sharing her time and warmth with those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her adventurous heart, and her devotion to her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Tom) Kudela and Lou Ann Pennington; along with many treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Agnes (née Lentz) Fox; her son, Gene Allen Johnson; her daughter, Terri Mitchell; her sisters, Patricia “Pat” Murray and Kay Fidler; and her brother, Russ Fox.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 6:00 p.m. Reverend Cliff Morris will officiate.
